In these videos we explore principles based on Sarvartha Chintami and how to interpret the 12th house in Vedic Astrology.  These are applicable to general chart interpretation and to the effects of dashas, because they both work together.

12^th House – Expenses, After Death, Loss of Limb, Left Eye and Sleep

A cruel sign in the 12^th, or malefics in the 12^th, or the lord of the 12^th aspected by malefic planets one’s expenses are on illegitimate means.

This also occurs if the 12^th is occupied by Saturn, Mandi or Rahu or its lord is influenced by these planets and the 12^th lord is in a malefic Navamsha.

The Navamsha lord of the 12^th being a benefic and placed in a benefic navamsha and surrounded by benefics gives expenses on legitimate means.  This is also true if Jupiter or Venus occupy the 12^th or if Mercury and Moon are there and aspected by benefics while located in many good vargas.

If the lord of the 10^th is cruel and located in a navamsha of a natural enemy or debilitation and aspected by the lord of the 12^th, one spends on unnecessary things. The opposite will be true if these variable are opposite.

If the 12^th lord is weak and with or under the aspect of the 6^th lord or with Gulik, one spends to address the enemy.

If the 12^th lord is in a cruel navamsha and is associated with or aspected by a weak 7^th lord, one loses wealth on account of the spouse or partners.

If the 12^th lord is located in a malefic navamsha and with or aspected by weak Mars, one loses wealth on account of brothers.

Also, if the lord of the 12^th is in a cruel navamsha and is in association with or aspected by a weak lord of the 5^th house, one loses wealth on account of children.

The lord of the 12^th influenced or associated or aspected by the lord of the 9^th house or the Sun, funds are spent on account of father.

The same will be true if the 12^th is influenced by the 4^th house lord and/or the Moon in regards to Mother.

One’s limb may be lost if the 12^th house lord is weak and is situated in a malefic navamsha or in bad dignity in the navamsha.

Limbs may also be impaired if there are cruel planets in the 12^th and the lord of the 12^th is with Saturn, Mandi and Rahu.

One is said to go to hell after death if the lord of the 12^th is in a malefic navamsha, in a malefic sign, with a malefic planet and is aspected by a malefic.

This also occurs if the 12^th house is occupied by Rahu and Mandi and is aspected by the lord of the 8^th or the 6^th house.  Or if the 12^th house occupies a malefic Shastiamsha and is aspected by malefic planets.

The lord of the decante occupied by the Sun or the Moon, which ever of the two is stronger determins the nature of the next world.  Jupiter indicates heaven.  Venus or Moon indicates the Pitrilok or the abode of the manes. The Sun or Mars is an animal birth.  Mercury or Saturn is hell.

The dignity of the lord of the decante indicates whether the next birth is of a higher or lower order in said abodes.

Natural gentle planets in the 12^th in excellent dignity and many good vargas gives attainment of heaven.

Healthy eyes are indicated if the 12^th house lord is located with a benefic, in the navamsha of a benefic and influenced by a benefic.

The opposite will be true if the results are reversed.  This is also said to be difficult for the feet.

If Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are located in the 12^th house, the native gets conveyances.  The 12^th house can also indicated conveyances.

Gentle influences on the 12^th house give a comfortable bed and pleasures of the bed.

If the 12^th lord is located in its highest degree of exaltation and is aspected by the lord of the 9^th hose, the bed will have jewels and precious stones.

One has difficult sleep if the 12^th house is influenced by cruel planets and the lord of the 12^th is in a malefic navamsha and under the aspect of malefics.

The better the station of the 12^th house and its lord, the better one’s sleep and bed.

If Venus is located in the 5^th house with the Moon or if the 5^th is aspected by Moon or Venus one worships a female diety.

The 5^th occupied by a male planet, gives worship of a male deity.  The 5^th influenced by the Sun makes one a worshipper of the Sun or Shankar.

If the Moon is influencing the 5^th house, one can worship Yakshini.  If Mercury, Skanda or Bhairava.

Mercury in the 5^th, one worships Sharada or Vishnu.  Jupiter causes one to worship a Sattvic devata. Venus indicates Chamund devi.

Saturn influencing the 5^th causes one to worship dead spirits and to reside in a burning ghat. Rahu and Ketu causes one to worship in such a way to harm others.

If the planets mentioned are in the best dignity, the worship is for the benefit of Self. If otherwise, it is to harm others.

If the planet indicated is aspected by benefics, the deity will be gentle.  Otherwise it will be cruel.

If there are two or more planets, one may worship multiple deities.  The deity will be favorable to the native if the lord of the 5^th is a friend to the lord of the lagna.
