Course #9 – Timing with Transits and Dashas
Course Dates – September 1st – November 19th, 2019
Limited Class Size
The ability to accurately judge the development and outcome of someone’s horoscope based on the dashas, bhuktis and transits operating at any particular time is a skill that is acquired gradually and as a result of careful study and analysis. It draws upon all of our knowledge of how to assess the horoscope, its avashtas, vargas, strengths and weaknesses.
If we can read a birth chart, then we can begin to see when the karmas held within the horoscope will give their effects. The goal of this course is to demonstrate and explore how planetary positions, planetary dignity, the avashtas, transits and the divisional charts can all be woven together to see the tapestry of life unfolding into specific events.
Everything that we have studied in the past 2.66 years is now put together so that the static promise of the chart can be revealed in the dimension of time. Now we take the potentials of the chart, the seeds, to see if they will experience the proper timing and season for growth and fruition. It is one thing to understand the potentials of an astrological chart. It is quite another to actually be able to tell if those potentials will manifest.
- In this course, we will explore the nature of the Vimshottari Dasha system.
- We will review the methods of chart interpretation studied to date.
- We will discuss the specific influences of transits, including the Outer Planets.
- We will also consider how the transits from the rasi chart are meant to be analyzed within the vargas.
- We will consider the use of the most important rasi dasha to direct our attention to proper assessment.
Our goal is to reveal the dimension of time, as they relate to one’s consistent life themes.
Dashas and transits are very complex astrological indicators. Their mastery is rare. Our goal is to provide the proper foundation for such mastery to develop.
This course will be a minimum of 16 hours in length and divided into a minimum of 7 classes. These are pre-recorded classes (which I will begin on an auspicious muhurta!) Class recordings will be delivered, via email, with a link to the video of the class at the beginning of each week. Classes will be available as a video for up to three weeks after the classes conclusion. So take your time and be sure to take good notes! Student questions are to be emailed in between classes. Each question will be answered at the beginning of the next class.
Class size is limited to 27 participants.
Base Tuition: $410.00
(However, this is such a fascinating topic and I want to make it available to everyone, so if you can’t afford $210.00, just tell me what you can and that will be the cost for you. This does not apply to Apprenticeship Track Students, only general students. Apprenticeship Track Student fees are $210.00. This is obviously due to the work involved grading quizzes, evaluating papers, etc. related to the Apprenticeship Track.)
Registration ends September 1st, 2019.
